Cool, Snoop Dog Launches Indonesian Coffee Product in the US Named INDOxyz

Jakarta

Famous rapper Snoop Dog launched coffee products from Indonesia in the United States. The coffee product is named INDOxyz.

The coffee launch was in collaboration with Indonesian businessman Michael Riady who is also the grandson of Mochtar Riady from Lippo Group. Snoop Dog was interested in selling Indonesian coffee during his recent visit to Indonesia.

“During his visit to Indonesia, Snoop Dogg was introduced to local coffee through five generations of native Indo, Michael Riady. It only took one sip and Snoop was hooked,” wrote INDOxyz on his company’s official website as reported detikFinanceSunday (12/3/2023).

“Indonesia produces coffee with a range of flavors and profiles that are bold and smooth enough to excite all coffee drinkers,” explained INDOxyz.

According to the Daily Coffee News website, Snoop Dogg partnered with Michael Riady to procure, roast and produce whole bean, pre-ground and ready-to-drink (RTD) cold drink products.

He also admitted that he loved Indonesia and when he was in Indonesia, it was Michael who showed him Indonesian coffee as the best coffee in the world.

However, the word INDO in the product name INDOxyz, said Snoop Dog, comes from his flagship song in 1994 entitled “Gin & Juice”, meaning high quality marijuana.

Meanwhile, Michael himself doesn’t know the meaning of the word “INDO” in the lyrics of Snoop’s song. He thought the word “INDO” in the product was an abbreviation for Indonesia.

“I didn’t know that. I just thought, ‘Oh, Indo – OK, that’s me.’ “I know the song but I don’t really understand what it means,” said Riady to DCN.

The INDOxyz product itself is currently still being launched on a limited basis in California, USA. Ready-to-drink cold drinks are priced at US$ 5.99 and whole bean coffee is priced at US$ 17.99. These products are sold online and at large wholesalers.
