Sesame Peanut Cake Recipe, Alternative Snack at Christmas


KOMPAS.com – If you are bored with serving pineapple, ginger cake, or Kastengel During Christmas celebrations, this time try changing it by making sesame peanut cakes.

As the name suggests, this cake uses roasted sesame as the main ingredient, complemented by flour, honey, baking powder, peanut butter, butter, and egg yolks.

Sesame peanut cake ingredients:

  • 350 grams of wheat flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 75 grams of roasted sesame
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 3 tablespoons water
  • 225 grams of butter
  • 175 grams powdered sugar (sift)
  • 150 grams of peanut butter
  • 2 egg yolks

How to make peanut sesame cake:

1. Mix flour and baking powder while stirring, then set aside. In a separate bowl, combine the toasted sesame seeds, honey and water, then stir until evenly mixed.

2. Beat the butter with powdered sugar, peanut butter and egg yolks for five minutes, then add the sifted flour, then stir until the mixture is evenly mixed.

3. Wrap the dough then freeze, then cut the dough into pieces 0.5 centimeters thick. Dip one side of the dough in roasted sesame seeds, then place the dough in a baking pan.

4. Bake the sesame cake mixture in the oven until cooked, or until golden brown. After that, remove from heat and let cool to room temperature before placing in a jar.
