Crispy Beans Recipe, Snack Choice for End of Year Holidays

KOMPAS.com – Crispy nuts are a crunchy snack that is suitable to accompany relaxing moments during the year-end holidays. With its delicious taste and unique texture, this snack is a favorite of many people.

The name “kribo” is taken from the shape of the beans wrapped in flour mixture so they look like curly hair. The making process is quite easy, so it can be a fun activity with the family during the holidays.

The tip for making crunchy peanuts is to make sure the peanuts are completely dry before cooking. That way, the flour mixture will stick together perfectly and produce crunchy nuts.

Follow the recipe from the book “Princess Siti Nurbaya’s Kitchen Recipe” by Siti Hafsah published by Deepublish.

Material:

  • 250 gr peanuts
  • 1 egg
  • 10 tablespoons mocaf flour (buy ready-made)
  • 3 tbsp cornstarch
  • 3 cloves of garlic, crushed
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1.5 tbsp granulated sugar
  1. Wash the peanuts first, then dry in the sun until completely dry.
  2. Beat the eggs with fine garlic, salt and granulated sugar until well mixed.
  3. Add the peanuts to the egg mixture, stir well.
  4. Gradually add the mocaf flour and cornstarch, stir until all the nuts are completely coated.
  5. Heat a large amount of oil, fry the peanuts until golden brown and the peanuts separate from each other.
  6. Drain and cool. Store in an airtight jar to keep it crunchy.
