Gohyong Recipe, Special Dish Choice for the Family


KOMPAS.com – Gohyong or Meaty Rolls is a classic dish that combines ground meat with special spices.

This dish is often served on special occasions because of its rich taste and soft texture.

With a combination of meat, vegetables and aromatic spices, Gohyong is suitable as a main or complementary dish at the dinner table.

The main tip for making Gohyong is to make sure the meat mixture is mixed evenly so that the texture is perfect.

Apart from that, choosing fresh spices will increase the deliciousness of this dish as reported in the book “100 Recipes for Cooking Business” by Lanny Soechan published by PT Gramedia Pustaka Utama.

Material:

  • 250 grams of ground beef
  • 5 green beans, shaved
  • 1 carrot, shaved
  • 1 red onion, chopped
  • 1 clove of garlic, crushed
  • ½ tsp onion, puree
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp granulated sugar
  • ½ tsp ground pepper
  • ¼ tsp ground nutmeg
  • ½ tsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp hoisin sauce
  • 1 egg
  • 1 sheet of tofu skin
  • ½ tsp sesame oil
  • Cooking oil for frying

Prickly Ingredients:

  • 1 tbsp sago flour
  • 25 ml water
  • 100 ml boiling water
  1. Mix the sago flour and water until dissolved, pour in the boiling water little by little while stirring well.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, green beans, carrots, onions, garlic, shallots, salt, pepper, nutmeg, soy sauce, hoisin sauce, sesame oil, and eggs. Add the prepared starter, stir until smooth.
  3. Take a piece of tofu skin, fill it with dough, then roll it up and shape it into an oval. Steam the rolls in a pan until cooked.
  4. After steaming, remove from heat and fry in hot oil until the surface is golden. Remove, drain and serve warm with complementary sauce.
