Sacrifice is one of the sunnah acts of worship performed during Eid al-Adha. Sacrifice is the act of slaughtering sacrificial animals. Animals that can be sacrificed are livestock, namely cows, camels, goats or sheep.
In practice, not all qurban shohibuls can slaughter sacrificial animals. As a result, the person who sacrificed asked for help from an expert. A sacrificial committee was formed to take care of the sacrificial animals.
The sacrificial committee is tasked with selecting the best animal, slaughtering it, and distributing it to the rightful people. That way, the Qurban shohibul doesn’t have to bother taking care of the sacrifice.
However, there are sacrificial committees who take the sacrificial meat first before distributing it. In fact, they also cook it. So, what is the law?
