Ingredients:

  • 175 gr blue triangle wheat flour
  • 40 gr granulated sugar

  • 1 egg
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted
  • ½ tsp double acting baking powder
  • ¼ tsp baking soda

How to Make Trader Style Folded Martabak

  1. Mix flour, granulated sugar, liquid milk, eggs and melted butter. Stir well until the mixture is thick and there are no lumps.
  2. Let the dough rest for 45 minutes so that the texture is softer and more porous.
  3. Heat the Teflon over low heat, spread with a little oil using a tissue.
  4. Add baking powder and baking soda to the mixture, then mix well.
  5. Pour 1 spoonful of vegetable mixture onto the Teflon, turn it slightly to form a thin layer on the edge.
  6. Leave it until small holes (fibrous) appear on the surface, then let it cook.
  7. Remove the martabak from the Teflon, spread with a little butter while hot to make it more delicious.
  8. Add toppings according to taste, such as sweetened condensed milk, chocolate or cheese, then fold the martabak until neat.
  9. The folded martabak is ready to be served warm.
