By following a few practical tips, the cake will come out of the pan perfectly without losing its shape. These steps are not only effective, but can also be applied to various types of cakes, as reported on the page The Spruce Eats.

1. Understand the Recipe Instructions Carefully

Each recipe usually states the best way to remove the cake from the pan. For example, cookies are often removed after being left out for a while, while bread and cake pans need time to cool so that their texture is more stable.

2. Use the Right Lubricant

Lubricants such as shortening or cooking spray are very effective at preventing sticking. Make sure the pan is coated evenly without leaving any dry spots.

3. Sprinkle flour after coating the baking pan

After coating the baking pan with lubricant, add a light dusting of flour for maximum results. Make sure the flour is spread evenly and shake off any excess to prevent lumps.

4. Use Baking Paper or Silicone Liner

For cakes such as brownies or sponge cake, using baking paper is highly recommended. This helps with the lifting process without the risk of the cake sticking to the pan.

5. Cool Cake Properly

Let the cake cool in the pan for 5–10 minutes before transferring to a cooling rack. This step helps the texture of the cake remain intact when lifted.

6. Use a thin spatula for removal

A thin, wide spatula helps lift the cake from the pan without damaging the surface or shape. Use slow movements for best results.
