SOLO – Non-halal festival at the Mall Solo Paragon was held again after stopping due to protests by the Surakarta City Sharia Council (DSKS). The non-halal culinary festival runs until July 7 2024 and is open to the public.

Observation in the field, many visitors come to culinary festival the. On the right and left sides the location can be seen covered with black cloth.

Meanwhile, at the entrance, security officers were seen standing guard. “It’s progressing,” said the festival’s event organizer (EO), Ken, Thursday (4/7/2024).

Ken is happy that non-halal festival events can continue. Even though there was an agreement starting from removing the banner which was considered too vulgar and installing coverings in each tenant.

“So the request was for a cloth around it to cover it. OK, we will follow, basically we will follow the request. “We are grateful that the event can run again,” he said.

Meanwhile, DSKS Public Relations Officer Endro Sudarsono appealed to Muslims in Solo Raya to avoid the Non-Halal Food Culinary Festival.

“People are worried because it is too vulgar, even though we are quite respectful of food from non-Muslims. “Because you cannot force your will, its nature is an appeal and a statement of attitude,” he said.
