KOMPAS.com – Taste Atlas, the taste encyclopedia page which contains many dishes in the world, released the 2024-2025 Taste Atlas Award in December 2024.
The more than 11,000 dishes on this page total 367,847 ratings which is ranked in the top 100 most delicious foods in the world based on the highest ranking.
A total of five foods from Indonesia are included in the list “100 Best Dishes in the World” according to Taste Atlas.

The five typical Indonesian foods that have been named the world’s tastiest dishes are rawon from East Java, pempek from Palembang, chicken fried rice, and curry and rendang typical of West Sumatra.
Rawon is in 8th place, pempek is in 23rd place, chicken fried rice is in 33rd place, curry is in 44th place, and rendang is in 67th place.

Cities in Indonesia are also included in other categories in this award, namely “100 Best Food Cities in the World.”
