Typical Christmas Ginger Cake Recipe, Snack Stock for the Family

Ingredients for typical Christmas gingerbread cookies:

  • 300 grams of wheat flour
  • 170 grams margarine
  • 100 grams of palm sugar
  • 200 grams of granulated sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 omega chicken egg
  • 3 teaspoons ground ginger or fresh grated ginger
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cloves

How to make Christmas gingerbread cookies:

1. Preheat the oven to 175 degrees Celsius, meanwhile stir the flour, ground cloves, ground cinnamon, ground ginger, baking powder and salt in a large container until evenly mixed. Knead the dough until there are no lumps.

2. In a separate bowl, beat the margarine and sugar until the mixture is pale and soft, then add the eggs and beat again until evenly mixed. Add water and stir the mixture until smooth.

3. When the dough is ready, mold the dough into the desired cake shape. After that, place the molded dough on a baking sheet that has been lined with baking paper. Add icing sugar on top of the cake batter before baking.

4. Bake the cake in the oven for about 10 minutes or until the cake is cooked, then remove the cake from the oven and let it come to room temperature before serving.
