Ginger tea, made from boiled water from fresh ginger, contains bioactive compounds, such as gingerol and shogaol, which are known for their anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties.
The antioxidant properties of ginger can reduce inflammation in the body and are important for maintaining the immune system to function properly. The reason is, chronic inflammation can weaken the immune system, making the body more susceptible to bacterial or viral infections.
The antioxidants in ginger tea are also able to neutralize the body from exposure to free radicals, reduce oxidative stress, and protect cells from damage.
