Basil Chicken Grilled Rice Recipe for Lunch


KOMPAS.com – Grilled rice is a practical menu that can be made at home to take to school or the office.

This basil chicken grilled rice is cooked with shallots, garlic, red cayenne pepper, turmeric, ginger, bay leaves, lemongrass, chicken breast, brown sugar and basil leaves.

Basil chicken grilled rice can be served with chili sauce, tomatoes and cucumbers, here’s an easy recipe to make.

Material:

Savory rice:

  • 250 grams of rice
  • 375 ml thin coconut milk
  • tsp salt
  • Bay leaves
  • 1 stalk lemongrass

Spices, puree:

  • 8 red onions
  • 4 cloves of garlic
  • 3 red cayenne peppers
  • 2 cm turmeric, roasted
  • cm ginger, roasted

Basil chicken:

  • tbsp cooking oil
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 1 stalk lemongrass, crushed
  • 100 grams chicken breast, boiled, shredded
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp brown sugar
  • 50 grams of basil leaves

1. Cook the rice, coconut milk, salt and bay leaves inside magic comafter cooking remove the rice and let cool.

2. Basil chicken: Heat oil, saute ground spices, bay leaves and lemongrass until fragrant. Add chicken meat and remaining ingredients, stir well. Lift.

3. Solution: Take a piece of banana leaf, place one portion of rice on it. Place one to two tablespoons of shredded chicken in the middle of the rice. Roll the grilled rice while compacting it.

Pin both ends of the banana leaf with toothpicks.

4. Grill the rice over hot coals or grill pan until the leaves turn brown. Remove, serve with accompaniments.
