Caramel Banana Sponge Recipe, Suitable for Drinking Tea


KOMPAS.com – If you have bananas at home, you can process them into delicious caramel banana cake.

Caramel banana cake is made with butter or margarine, banana, baking soda, medium protein flour, vanilla milk powder, baking powder, chocolate chips and eggs.

Caramel banana cake is suitable as a friend to drink tea or coffee, how to make it is easy, here’s the recipe.

Caramel Ingredients:

  • 100 grams of granulated sugar
  • 50 grams of butter or margarine
  • 3 medium sized bananas, cut into pieces
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp aroma butter

Sponge ingredients:

  • 100 grams of medium protein flour
  • 60 grams of granulated sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 4 grams baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla powdered milk
  • Chocolate grains to taste

1. Caramel: Cook the granulated sugar over very low heat so that it doesn’t become bitter and burn until it becomes caramel. Add butter, stir well.

Add the banana slices, stir while pressing the bananas. Cook until mixed evenly. Cool.

Once cool, add baking soda and aromatic butter. Stir well.

2. Make cake: Sift flour, baking powder and vanilla powder. Set aside. Beat the eggs and sugar until the whites are fluffy and smooth.

Add the caramel and flour alternately then stir using a spatula. Put it in a cup or baking dish, sprinkle with chocolate chips.

3. Bake in the oven for approximately 25 to 30 minutes at a temperature of 165 to 170 degrees Celsius (depending on each oven).
