3 Tips for Cleaning the Stove from Scale and Rust


KOMPAS.com – The stove is one of the kitchen appliances used almost every day for cooking.

Of course, you cannot avoid fatty cooking stains such as oil and spices. If you don’t clean it for too long, it will become crusty and difficult to remove.

Apart from scale on the stove, rust is also often found. To clean it, check out the following tips.

1. Stains on the stove

Stains on the stove can be cleaned with kerosene, then wipe the stove and let it sit for a few moments.

Next, wipe the stove again using a new, dry rag.

2. Rust on the stove

Rust in the fire place (boomer) gas stoves made of copper or brass often appear.

How to clean it: put a citric acid solution in a glass of hot water, about 100 milliliters.

Soak burners in the solution for two to four hours. Brush until clean then rinse with clean water.

3. Scale on the stove

Stubborn stains from cooking residue become crusts that are difficult to clean, here’s how you can do it.

Open the stove cover then clean it with a mixture of soap or detergent and warm water. Once clean, rinse with clean water.
