6 ways to ripen bananas, one of which is wrapping them in plastic

1. Store bananas together

To speed up the ripening time for bananas, they must be stored at room temperature around 15 to 18 degrees Celsius.

Store a comb of bananas at room temperature, you can place it in a fruit bowl so that the combined ethylene gas from other fruit helps the bananas ripen more evenly and quickly.

Check every day so that the desired level of doneness is appropriate.

2. Store in a paper bag

Paper bags or commonly known as paper bags Shopping waste can be used to wrap bananas. You can also use newspaper or other paper.

This method is more effective in helping ripen bananas without carbide. Place the bananas in a paper bag and cover tightly overnight.

Make sure not to store bananas in hot temperatures because it causes the bananas to become soft.

4. Put it in the oven

If you want to ripen bananas quickly and evenly, you can heat them in the oven.

Putting bananas in the oven at a moderate temperature can help the process of ripening raw bananas.

Usually banana skin will turn black when it is ripe. However, bananas that are ripened in the oven have a different taste compared to bananas that are ripened naturally.

5. Wrap with aluminum foil

Wrap raw and ripe bananas in aluminum foil.

This method speeds up the ripening process of bananas because of the ethylene gas that can be produced by ripe bananas, making unripe bananas perfectly ripe.

6. Wrap in plastic

Wrapping the banana tightly in plastic then storing it at warm room temperature can help ripen the banana.

Bananas wrapped in plastic can ripen in about two to three days.
