Surabaya (ANTARA) – One of the three-star hotels in Sidoarjo, Premier Place Hotel Surabaya Airport, is presenting a unique Frog Chicken menu to welcome Christmas Day, 24-25 December 2024.
Premier Place Hotel Surabaya Airport Executive Chef Andy Abidin said the menu was inspired by typical French dishes brought by the Dutch to Indonesia and then cooked using ingredients found in Indonesia.
“Frog chicken is served whole with a cooking process that is not easy,” said Andy in a statement received in Surabaya, Thursday.
He explained that the culinary frog chicken was prepared by removing the inside of the chicken until the intact chicken skin remained and then filling it again with the stuffing.
Premier Place’s signature chicken frog filling is filled with ground chicken and ground beef with special herbs and spices, and comes with a boiled egg inside.
Andy explained that when making the chicken frog menu, you need to be more careful because if you don’t do this there is a risk of it tearing and the filling spilling out.
“After the chicken is filled with meat mixture, the chicken is sewn together with great care so that the chicken skin does not tear. The chicken is then baked until cooked and golden brown and the frog chicken is ready to be served,” he said.
This menu will be served at Coriander Resto Premier Place Hotel in the momentum of the Christmas celebration. Frog chicken dishes are available in the special dinner program Christmas Dinner Winter Wonderland.
Meanwhile, Marcomm Coordinator of Premier Place Hotel Surabaya Airport Melly Aruni said that for visitors who have not had the chance to enjoy the meal on 24-25 December 2024, they still have private lunch or dinner packages for a minimum of 30 people.
“The package is valid until January 31 2025,” he said.
Melly added, for the program festive seasons The end of the year, especially at Christmas, is always the moment that many people look forward to the most to gather with family and relatives.
“We hope to be part of the celebration of this moment,” he said.
