Bananas contain soluble fiber which provides many benefits. This fiber absorbs water in the stomach, creates a feeling of fullness for longer, and helps remove fat and calories before they are absorbed by the body.

However, consuming fiber requires sufficient water intake, which is around 1.5 to 2 liters per day. Jen Silverman also added that the ripeness of a banana influences its effect on digestion.
