Thai Mango Sticky Rice Recipe for Selling Ideas


KOMPAS.com – This mango season get creative by making mango sticky rice, a different way to enjoy mangoes.

Mango sticky rice is made with sticky rice, pandan leaves, vanilla powder and sweet fragrant mango fruit.

Meanwhile, the ingredients for mango sticky rice sauce consist of thick coconut milk, pandan leaves, cornstarch and sugar.

Material:

  • 1 liter of sticky rice
  • 2 liters of coconut milk from 1 coconut (thick)
  • 2 pandan leaves
  • Salt to taste
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla powder
  • 3-4 sweet fragrant mangoes

Vla coconut milk:

  • 300 ml thick coconut milk
  • 300-400 ml of water
  • 1 pandan leaf
  • Salt to taste
  • 2-3 tablespoons granulated sugar, adjust accordingly
  • 1-2 tablespoons cornstarch, dissolved in a little water

2. Discard the rice soaking water.

3. Steam the sticky rice until fluffy (like aron rice), set aside.

4. Boil thick coconut milk with pandan leaves, vanilla and salt.

5. Prepare a container or basin. Move the steamed rice, then pour in the boiled coconut milk little by little. Mix well. Do this until the coconut milk runs out (cooked).

6. Put the sticky rice into the steamer.

7. Steam again over low heat until the sticky rice is cooked, about an hour.

8. Taste, if you feel it doesn’t have enough salt, add salt, the sticky rice should taste delicious, the coconut milk is slightly salty.

9. Vla coconut milk: Mix instant coconut milk with water, add pandan leaves, salt, granulated sugar, then boil over medium heat while continuing to stir.

10. Just before boiling, add the cornstarch solution to thicken the mixture. Cook until it explodes. Turn off the heat. Taste, adjust the taste.

11. Let stand until the hot steam disappears then cool the coconut milk in the refrigerator.

12. Serve warm sticky rice with a drizzle of cold coconut milk and sliced ​​mango, you can sprinkle with roasted sesame seeds if you like.

13. Serve sticky rice with coconut milk and sweet fragrant mango pieces.
