A total of 32 PKK members from all hamlets in Kesiman Kertalangu Village, Denpasar, Bali, were trained to make betutu chicken. The goal is for them to have an entrepreneurial spirit.
Perbekel Kesiman Kertalangu I Made Suena said the chicken betutu menu is one of the traditional Balinese culinary delights which has high cultural and economic value. According to him, betutu chicken is not only an everyday dish, but is also often used in religious ceremonies.
“With these skills, participants can save costs. At the same time open small business opportunities,” said Suena in a written statement received detikBali, Sunday (1/12/2024).
He hopes that these skills can open up new business opportunities. Therefore, his party invited trainers from famous betutu chicken practitioners in Kesiman Kertalangu Village.
Apart from that, Suena continued, this training is also expected to support the activities of local Village-Owned Enterprises (Bumdes). He believes that PKK can become a provider of consumption services for various activities in the village.
“In this way, all components of society can feel the benefits of this effort. As well as encouraging local economic growth in Kesiman Kertalangu Village,” he explained.
