Coffee can not only be enjoyed as a refreshing drink. In fact, in a cup of coffee there are so many lessons that fans can learn and learn.
This is in accordance with the statement made by Rahmah as Chief of Ketiara Cooperative. He, who heads a cooperative that oversees coffee farmers in Gayo, said that the journey of coffee is not just steeped in a glass.
“The process of making coffee is very long, the journey from coffee to being served in glasses that is enjoyed takes a long time. So if you drink coffee, it is better to spend it appreciating the farmers and people involved in the process,” said Rahmah when attended a conference at the Jakarta International Coffee Conference (23/10).
Rahmah, who is directly responsible for the farmers, said that coffee is very useful for the lives of local residents, especially in Gayo. Thanks to the good demand and sales of Indonesian coffee, many neighbors and surrounding farmers are able to live a decent life.

Ketiara Cooperative is recognized as having succeeded in developing more than 1,600 Aceh Gayo coffee farmers. These farmers come from 80 villages in Gayo, Aceh and are dominated by 70% of female farmers.

At this year’s event, the Jakarta International Coffee Conference will be held at the AA Maramis Building from 22-24 October 2024. The event takes place every day from 10.00-22.00 WIB.
