Want to cook ramen at home? This is a Japanese-style recipe and how to make it

The Japanese noodle dish, Ramen, has now become a food that is popular with people in various countries, including Indonesia.

The deliciousness of ramen lies in the combination of thin, chewy noodles, rich broth, soy sauce and various toppings which increases your appetite even more.

Ramen also has various variations based on the taste of the broth, from sweet to salty, including ramen shoyu, shio, miso, paitan, CurryAnd tonkotsu.

In fact, there are many other variations of ramen. Each region, especially in Japan, often has its own characteristics of ramen with different presentation innovations.

Even though it is often considered difficult to make, it turns out that ramen lovers can try cooking Japanese-style ramen at home with ingredients that are easy to buy at the market or supermarket.

The process for making it is also not too complicated, so it is suitable for anyone to try, including beginners who want to cook themselves.

Recipe and method for making Japanese-style ramen at home

Ingredients

  • 1/4 piece of chicken fillet
  • 4 sachets of egg noodles
  • 500 ml UHT milk
  • 1 pcs chicken stock powder
  • 500 ml water
  • 4 tbsp hot spices or chile oil

  • 1/4 tbsp salt
  • 1/2 tbsp ground pepper
  • 100 grams of grated cheese
  • 2 garlic cloves (crushed)
  • 1 tsp granulated sugar
  • 5 eggs
  • 1/2 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 4 pcs sausages
  • Pokcay vegetables

How to make

  1. Boil noodles, sausages and pokcay vegetables in boiling water. To boil noodles, make sure the noodles are not too soft so that the texture remains chewy.
  2. Then, boil the eggs for 7 minutes, to maintain the texture and thick color of the egg yolk.
  3. Cook the chicken fillet pieces sautéed with cooking oil and sliced ​​garlic, chili spices or chile oiloyster sauce, chicken stock powder, and sugar.
  4. To make broth, boil water mixed with UHT milk, cornstarch, grated cheese and chicken stock powder. Cook until the texture of the sauce is thick enough and the taste is right.
  5. Once everything is cooked perfectly, put the noodles in a bowl and pour in the broth that has been mixed. Then, arrange it toppings pieces of chicken, sausage and pokcay vegetables on top of ramen noodles.
  6. Ramen is ready to be served and is very suitable to be eaten while it is warm.

That’s the recipe and method for making Japanese-style ramen that you can cook yourself at home without having to go to a restaurant. Apart from that, if you make it yourself, the ramen dish can be created according to your taste or can be replaced as is toppings shrimp or fish meat.
