Jakarta (ANTARA) – Owner of Siangming Tea House and tea expert Suwarni Widjaja said that to get the benefits of tea, you must be able to choose quality tea leaves in terms of raw materials and storage techniques.
One of them is if you choose green tea or longjing green tea, look for one with a straight shape and the same color with an even color, or what is called the ming qian type.
“Each leaf is the same size, the color is even, and it doesn’t look cut up, so the leaves are still intact, one by one. “Well, these are quality tea leaves, for green tea,” said Suwarni when met by ANTARA, Wednesday (20/11).
To get an even leaf color, longjing green tea must be roasted in a hot pan for 1 hour and stirred by hand.

Meanwhile, tea packaged in slabs or Pu Erl using the cooked method is characterized by the leaves being evenly large, shiny and fragrant. Pu Erl tea also has buds on each leaf which indicates the quality of the picking process. This also applies to the characteristics of raw Pu Erl tea.
The color of Pu Erl tea leaves is also blacker but evenly distributed throughout all the tea contained in it, not cloudy and not wilted. This tea can also be stored for years.
“If Pu Erl tea is like this, it doesn’t expire, it can be stored for a long time, but with one condition, the raw material must be pure and clean, then it can be done. “If the raw material is an unclear mixture, it can’t be stored no matter how long, it won’t work,” he said.

Ripe Pu Erl tea can be drunk at any time since it was first purchased and stored in a place where it is not mixed with other odors.
