Apples are also full of polyphenols which according to a 2013 study, polyphenols can help keep arteries from becoming clogged or inflamed by stopping the oxidation of bad cholesterol (LDL).

2. Avocado

Apart from apples, avocados are also a superfood for maintaining good cholesterol levels. This green fruit provides lots of fiber and monounsaturated fat. These two ingredients are the key to keeping cholesterol healthy.

Several studies have even revealed that unsaturated fats actually improve liver health. Moreover, avocados are also rich in vitamins and minerals and are free from cholesterol.
