MEDAN PT Perkebunan Nusantara IV PalmCo together with other state-owned companies successfully held the Archipelago Culinary Exploration Bazaar (JKN) in Medan. This 3-day event (31 May – 2 June) presented dozens of typical Indonesian menus from hundreds of local MSMEs and attracted more than 4,500 transactions with a value of almost half a billion Rupiah.

PTPN IV PalmCo’s Director of Institutional Relations, Irwan Wargan-angin, stated that JKN is a real commitment and contribution of BUMN in supporting MSMEs in the culinary sector. “The hope is that these MSME friends can advance to class and develop more rapidly,” said Irwan.

JKN Medan serves more than 80 types of authentic dishes from various regions in Indonesia, making it an unforgettable culinary experience for visitors. Apart from that, this event also aims to increase public awareness and interest in MSME products through the MSME Digital Market (PaDi).

More than 4,500 transactions occurred during JKN Medan, with 4,508 PaDi Pre Order transactions worth IDR 414 million and 16 PO Retail and Group Buyer transactions worth IDR 5 million. JKN Medan is the second event after previously being successfully held in Bandung on 24-26 May 2024.

MSMEs involved in JKN are part of Rumah BUMN, a forum for MSME actors who are coached by state companies to facilitate them to advance to class.

Apart from tasting typical Indonesian culinary delights, JKN Medan visitors are also pampered with various interesting entertainment, such as musical performances from national artists Idgitaf and Stevan Pasaribu, traditional Batak Karo music performances, cooking demonstrations by Chef Yulita Master Chef Indonesia Season 5, Barista Competition, Cosplay Exhibition, and Talkshow with national entrepreneur Gufron Syarif CEO & Founder of Haus Indonesia.
