SURABAYAKebab Originally from Türkiye, it is similar to satay. This statement is being made by one of the chefs and makes people wonder about the correct naming.

It was stated again that during this time big brands have made mistakes regarding inappropriate names of these foods. Pioneer of Turkish Kebab in Indonesia, Baba Rafi Turkish Kebab responded to this statement.

Kebab Turki Baba Rafi introduces kebabs in a new form that has been adapted with a touch of Indonesian innovation and creativity. Presenting more than just traditional kebabs, Kebab Turki Baba Rafi presents a wrapped version of kebab, a concept that has been widely accepted in Indonesia and is even starting to be followed abroad.

CEO of Kebab Turki Baba Rafi, Hendy Setiono, said that Baba Rafi’s menus are not only inspired by Middle Eastern culinary traditions. But it also adapts to the consumption behavior of Indonesian people.

“Our internal research shows that Indonesian people like products that are practical and easy to consume. “From here, we created a wrapped version of the kebab, a serving format that meets these needs,” he said, Wednesday (13/11/2024).

He added, from the start, Baba Rafi did not only adopt kebabs in their original form, such as on skewers. He understands that Indonesia already has a strong satay culinary tradition that is recognized worldwide. “In fact, we chose the wrap format as a new form of creativity which is not only easier to enjoy but also adds practicality,” he said.

This choice is one of the keys to Baba Rafi’s success in maintaining his position in the Indonesian culinary industry. In fact, it is now increasingly inspiring other countries to adopt kebabs in wrap form.

“Thanks to the creativity of the nation’s children, kebab now has a new face that is widely accepted within the country and has the potential to go global,” he said.
