Recipe for Home-style Herbal Rice Galangal, Can Warm the Body


KOMPAS.com – You can not only buy the kencur rice herbal medicine at the store, but you can also make it yourself at home.

The ingredients are rich in spices, including galangal, ginger, fenugreek or fenugreek, cardamom and cubeb.

Material:

  • 200 gr rice
  • 50 gr galangal (clean, roast)
  • 50 gr ginger (clean, roasted)
  • 2 pandan leaves
  • 1/2 tsp fenugreek
  • 10 cardamom pods
  • 1/2 tsp cubeb
  • 300 gr brown sugar
  • 100 ml boiling water
  • 1,500 water
  • Salt to taste
  1. Wash the rice, then drain. Then roast it, then soak it in boiling water for about two hours.
  2. In a container, add the soaked rice, roasted galangal and ginger, fenugreek, cardamom, cubeb and salt. Blend until smooth.
  3. Sugar water. Pour water into a pan, boil the brown sugar and pandan leaves until the sugar dissolves and the mixture boils.
  4. Mix the sugar water with the blended kencur rice. Strain before serving.
