Eggs are a superfood that contain many nutrients, including protein, vitamins and essential minerals. Eggs are part of people’s daily consumption in many countries.
Many nutritionists also recommend eating eggs every day because this animal protein source contains complete amino acids. But then the question arises, is eating eggs every day really safe for your health?

Some experts link egg consumption as a cause of food poisoning, especially Salmonella bacterial infections. Symptoms of this poisoning include diarrhea, stomach cramps, fever and vomiting.
Salmonella bacteria themselves often nest in egg shells or even inside eggs when laying hens are infected.

The answer could be yes, depending on many things. For example, how the eggs are stored, handled and prepared. However, in fact, eggs themselves are not a food ingredient that can cause poisoning if consumed every day.
A person is at risk of poisoning if they eat contaminated or undercooked eggs. Several factors that put eggs at risk of causing food poisoning are:
1. Improper cooking method
Raw or incompletely cooked eggs increase the risk of food poisoning due to Salmonella bacterial infection. Therefore, be wary of consuming food ingredients made with raw eggs, such as salad dressings, homemade mayonnaise, or desserts that include the use of raw eggs.
2. Cross contamination
Cross contamination is also one of the factors that causes daily egg consumption to cause poisoning. This happens when someone uses a tool or surface that has been used to cook raw eggs, to cook other eggs without cleaning them first.
3. Wrong storage
Please note, leaving eggs at room temperature makes it easier for bacteria to reproduce. It is advisable to store eggs in the refrigerator so that the growth of bacteria can be prevented.
4. Use cracked eggs
You also need to be careful when preparing eggs. Make sure to wash your hands to avoid spreading bacteria. Then avoid using eggs whose shells are cracked or dirty because this allows bacteria to enter easily.
