Nasi Tahu Ni Sarti is the local community’s favorite place to start the day. This restaurant has been around since 1963.

Nasi Tahu Ni Sarti is a family business founded by Grandma Mirin. Uniquely, Nasi Tahu Ni Sarti is not taken from its name.

“The name Ni Sarti is taken from the name of my sister-in-law,” said Ni Wayan Murni, the fifth generation successor to this restaurant, to detikBali, Friday (8/11/2024).

The characteristic of Nasi Tahu Ni Sarti is that it is very simple food. This rice is served containing four pieces of half-cooked fried tofu with various types of chili sauce, ranging from spicy chili sauce, matah chili sauce, and cassava chili sauce, as well as Balinese vegetable anointing, and tofu crackers.

When eaten, this tofu rice predominantly tastes savory and salty. This snack is suitable for breakfast. Especially when the tofu crackers are dipped with various chili sauces, it is clearly even more appetizing.

Even though it is simple, local people always make Nasi Tahu Ni Sarti an option. One of the loyal customers of Nasi Tahu Ni Sarti, Ketut Murdita (55).

Murdita has been a loyal customer of Nasi Tahu Ni Sarti since childhood. For him, Nasi Tahu Ni Sarti is the right choice for maintaining health, especially because he wants to reduce meat consumption.

“Eating less meat is basically delicious. If you want to eat less meat, eat tofu and tempeh, it’s healthier,” said Murdita.

Located in a house with typical Balinese ornaments, Nasi Tahu Ni Sarti is a comfortable and cool place to eat. Having breakfast here, customers will feel the atmosphere of eating in their own home.

Even though cooking technology has now developed, this stall still maintains traditional cooking methods which still use firewood and clay stoves.

For one portion, Tahu Nasi Ni Sarti is priced at IDR 15 thousand. Nasi Tahu Ni Sarti stall is open every day from 07.00 WITA-13.00 WITA.
