MAKASSARDeadly accident occurred on the Reform Toll Road, Makassar City, South Sulawesi, Wednesday (25/9) evening. In this incident, two people died, namely a mother and child, while two other passengers, a father and child, only suffered injuries.

The accident involved a Land Cruiser car with plate number B 1539 CJH which was occupied by a family consisting of a husband and wife and their two children.

Traffic Inspector Makassar Police Police Commissioner Mamat Rahmat said that the fatal accident started when the Land Cruiser driven by Al Qadri Chaerudin was moving from north to south on the Makassar Reform Toll Road.

That’s when the Land Cruisers car, which was allegedly traveling at high speed, hit the back of a Hyno Container with a R10 trailer with registration number DD 8937 MP driven by Wahyudi (36) on the same route.

“It was unavoidable that a serious accident resulted in the death of 2 people, namely a mother and child,” said Kompol Mamat in his statement, Thursday (26/9/2024).

For your information, the family who were in the ill-fated car were one of the famous Pallubasa culinary entrepreneurs in Makassar, precisely on Jalan Wolf. Two people died, namely Nurjannah (35) and her son Muh Fadlan (7), both of whom died at Primaya Hospital.

The victim suffered bruises on his forehead, a broken finger on his left hand, a bruised left leg and a broken right arm and a broken jaw which caused the victim to die. Likewise, the condition experienced by his child was with wounds all over his body.

Meanwhile, the victim’s husband Al Qadri Chaerudin (36) and his other child Khaerunnisa Haeruddin (23) survived and only suffered injuries. “The case is currently still under investigation, and evidence has been secured,” he concluded. (Abdoellah Nicolha)
