KOMPAS.com – There are various ways to store fresh squid so that it doesn’t smell, one of which is by putting it in the refrigerator or freezer.

1. Add lime or lemon

After coating the entire surface of the squid with lime or lemon juice, put the lime and lemon in the same container as the squid.
Next, leave the squid in the container, place it at room temperature for five to 15 minutes.

3. Clean the squid again
After coating the squid with lime or lemon juice, the next step is to clean the squid again with clean water.
This step aims to make the squid fresher, while also removing any dirt that is still there.
4. Put the squid in an airtight container
Before storing squid in the refrigerator, you should put it in an airtight container first.
In this container, you can also add slices of lime or lemon so that the fishy smell doesn’t spread in the refrigerator.
5. Take advantage freezer
If you want the squid to last longer, for example around a month, you should freeze the squid in freezer so it doesn’t rot quickly.
