This tuber is known to contain nutrients that are beneficial for health. Cassava is a source of energy rich in carbohydrates and glucose.
Even though many people think cassava can be eaten raw, the fact is that raw cassava contains natural substances that can turn into cyanide. Consumed cyanide can be a deadly poison.
Cassava also doesn’t last long, even if stored in the refrigerator. If you find cassava turning dark blue, you should not consume it. This change indicates the formation of toxic cyanide acid.
So that cassava is safe to consume, it should be soaked in clean water for a while and then cooked until cooked.
2. Potatoes

Potatoes are often relied on by dieters. This food is used as the main carbohydrate intake to replace rice because it has fewer calories and healthier nutritional content.
However, potatoes should not be eaten raw. Raw potatoes can cause digestive problems because they contain a compound called solanine. Solanine consumed in high amounts can be a dangerous poison.
Potatoes that are green or starting to grow sprouts are the most dangerous because they contain high amounts of solanine compounds.
Always make sure the potatoes are cooked until they are completely soft. The cooking process can reduce the solanine content and make potatoes easier to digest.
