Changes in seasons cause many people to suffer from coughs and colds due to decreased immunity. To increase your body’s immunity, try consuming these 5 foods.

According to nutritionist Crowley, citrus fruits, including oranges and various berries, contain high levels of vitamin C which can encourage the production of white blood cells.

Apart from that, these fruits are also rich in antioxidants which can fight inflammation in the body, the effects of exposure to free radicals.

For example, orange fruit, if consumed every day, can maintain and increase the body’s resistance so that it doesn’t get sick easily.

Blueberries also contain high levels of fiber, vitamin C, vitamin K, and manganese which can protect against heart disease and increase immunity.

2. Garlic and ginger

Garlic and ginger are not just flavorings for cooking, but also help improve the body’s immune system.

Expert Crowley said that garlic is effective in increasing the body’s immune system because it contains allicin, which has anti-bacterial properties to prevent infection.

On the other hand, ginger is no less healthy because it has anti-inflammatory properties whose effects can help relieve sore throats and reduce various symptoms of flu and coughs.
