Chicken dimsum recipe
Material
- 125 g chicken thighs/breast
- 50 g carrots
- 1 egg (white only)
- 2 spring onions, sliced and sautéed briefly
- 2 cloves of garlic, saute briefly
- 2 tsp salt
- 1 tbsp oyster sauce
- 8 tbsp tapioca flour
- Dimsum skin, nori, or dumpling skin
How to make chicken dimsum
- Cut the chicken thighs or breasts, then blend with the garlic and oyster sauce until smooth.
- Grate the carrots until finely chopped and prepare to be mixed into the chicken mixture.
- In a container, add all the ingredients including the chicken mixture, sauteed spring onions, grated carrots, egg whites and salt. Stir until everything is evenly mixed.
- Add the tapioca flour little by little, stir gently until the dough becomes somewhat dense and can be formed.
- Take a teaspoon of dough, wrap it in dimsum skin or wonton skin. For variation, it can also be wrapped in nori.
- Heat the steamer, steam the dimsum for 15 minutes until cooked. Chicken dimsum is ready to be served warm as a delicious and nutritious snack.
