Bitter coffee without sugar is more recommended than coffee with added ingredients. But there are some foods that should be avoided when drinking bitter coffee.
With only 4 calories, bitter coffee without sugar is safe for consumption by people who are losing weight. The caffeine content in bitter coffee can also provide additional energy, especially when you are tired during the day.
While some people prefer to drink coffee without snacks or complementary foods, others feel there should be something to chew on. In order to get the healthy benefits of bitter coffee, there are a number of foods that are not recommended to be consumed together with bitter coffee.
Foods to avoid when drinking bitter coffee
Among the many food choices, the following foods are best avoided.
1. Fried foods

Be careful of cardiovascular disease if you like drinking bitter coffee combined with fried foods.
Research has found that consuming more coffee can increase the risk of dyslipidemia or abnormal fat levels in the bloodstream.
This condition can get worse when you drink coffee while eating fried foods that are high in fat, especially fried foods that use flour.
2. Breakfast cereal
Drinking coffee while eating a breakfast menu such as cereal seems practical and filling. But it’s a good idea to avoid this habit.
Breakfast cereals usually contain additional nutrients (fortification), one of which is zinc. Although there has been no more in-depth research, coffee can interfere with the bioavailability of zinc. Bioavailability is the fractional form of nutrients that the body absorbs and uses.
