JAKARTA – Indonesia has a variety of spots culinary famous specialty. However, not many people know that there are a number of legendary eating places that existed before Indonesia became independent, namely on August 17 1945.

1. Braga Game
Braga Permai, formerly Maison Bogerijen, has been serving classic dishes since the colonial era, to be precise in 1918. Until now, this restaurant remains a Bandung culinary icon with a vintage feel and authentic menu.
2. Cafe Batavia
Cafe Batavia used to be the governor’s house in 1805. Over time, in 1993 this building was converted into a restaurant. With a colonial feel, this restaurant serves a variety of Indonesian and European specialties.
3. Tiptop Restaurant
For more than nine decades, Tiptop Restaurant has been pampering the taste buds of Medan culinary lovers since 1929. Its long journey began with Toko Roti Jangkie, named after its owner. Then, in 1934 the shop was moved and changed its name to Tip-Top Restaurant.
4. Warung Mak Beng
Warung Mak Beng, which was founded in 1941, has become a culinary icon in Sanur, Bali. The fresh fish package menu here may look simple, but it has really great taste!
