This prestigious pastry competition brings together more than 27 talented chefs from 9 countries to compete in their highly anticipated 10th edition.
Japan won the gold medal, while the Malaysian and Singaporean teams took home silver and bronze respectively. The winners will have the opportunity to continue to the World Pastry Cup in Sirha Lyon, France, in January 2025.
Indonesia itself succeeded in winning the Promising Talent award and proved the team’s proud and extraordinary potential.

Elle & Vire Professionnel also presented an exclusive gastronomic experience for key industry partners at an event themed ‘AI-CING on the Cake,’ held at The Arts House, Singapore, on 23 October 2024. On this occasion, they introduced their revolutionary creation of sugar pastillage and The first dessert designed with artificial intelligence. The inspiration for this dessert was generated through a generative AI prompt which was then realized creatively by the chefs in their curation.

This creation is the result of a collaboration between Chef Nicolas Boussin, Meilleur Ouvrier de France 2000 (Best Pastry Artisan in France) and Executive Pastry Chef at Elle & Vire Professionnel; Chef Ko Wai Chong, Chef Elle & Vire Professionnel Ambassador for Malaysia and Founder of C3 Lab; and Tern Poh Lim, an expert in the field of Artificial Intelligence.
The initiative combines cutting-edge technology with artisan pastry expertise, led by Savencia Fromage & Dairy South Asia Marketing Director Flora Guyenot, alongside Head of Activation & Digital, Katherine Leow. This collaboration is a breakthrough in combining culinary arts with technological innovation.
