Fried rice and chicken satay are becoming increasingly popular because of Obama

Liputan6.com, Jakarta Two typical Indonesian culinary delights, fried rice and chicken satay, are truly special to the 44th President of the United States, Barack Obama. These two food menus were what Obama was most after when he arrived in Jogjakarta, Wednesday (28/6).

Talking about culinary delights, Obama does have his own memories of typical Indonesian food that he often ate when he lived in Indonesia. Obama’s culinary delights in Indonesia made a deep impression on his heart. He even conveyed this in November 2010, when Obama made a state visit to Indonesia. “Meatballs, satay… delicious,” said Obama at that time.

Also when delivering his speech at the University of Indonesia, Mr Obama praised his favorite food, “Meatballs, fried rice… everything is delicious!” Obama said, in fact, the President of this superpower country also imitated the style of a meatball seller shouting about selling his wares. “Baksoo!” he said, greeted by excitement from the audience in 2010.

So, while in Jogjakarta, Obama seemed impatient to taste the delicious Indonesian specialties. The special menu from Obama’s childhood in Indonesia is also an important note to look for when on holiday in Jogjakarta. “Obama immediately ordered typical Indonesian dishes such as noodles, satay and fried rice,” explained General Manager of Hotel Tentrem Mey Nurnaningsih, Thursday (29/6).

If we talk about culinary matters, Jogjakarta is indeed the right place to look for a sensation of Indonesian taste. This is one of Indonesia’s culinary paradises. Want to look for anything there is. Javanese taste, palace, a combination of Chinese menu, it’s all there.

This makes Jogjakarta culinary very rich. It’s delicious, almost undeniable. The chairman of the Indonesian Gastronomy Academy, Vita Datau Mesakh, also agrees with this. “Obama’s culinary orders, such as fried rice and chicken satay, are truly special. “It tastes delicious, savory, and is widely served throughout Jogjakarta,” explained AGI Chairman Vita Datau.

The woman who loves big motorbikes also invited Obama and his family to explore various Indonesian culinary delights while in Jogjakarta. ‘Please explore the culinary tourism in Jogjakarta. “Mr Obama will definitely get an extraordinary sensation and enjoyment,” added the woman who is also Chair of the Ministry of Tourism’s Culinary Tourism and Shopping Acceleration Team.

Tourism Minister Arief Yahya also agreed. Talking about culinary tourism, Jogjakarta is the place. “Indonesian fried rice and chicken satay are delicious. “Incidentally, these two foods are also favorites for Jogjakarta residents,” said Minister of Tourism Arief Yahya.

For Arief Yahya, Obama helped boost the popularity of “Wonderful Indonesia.” The flight is said to be even more “kicking” than Malaysia’s Trully Asia, Amazing Thailand and Your Singapore. The message that Obama implied when ordering typical Indonesian culinary delights at the Tentrem Hotel was very clear, firm and genuine. That Indonesia is not only beautiful in terms of natural resources, beautiful to look at, welcoming culture, but also incomparable culinary riches.

“That’s a fact. President Obama himself has admitted about fried rice, meatballs and satay. “Thank you, Mr Obama,” stressed Arief Yahya.
