Taste Sate To’ot, a typical coastal food on the North Coast of Situbondo

Liputan6.com, Jakarta – When traveling to the coast of Pasir Putih Beach, Bungatan District, Situbondo, East Java, there is one of the typical culinary delights being sold on the edge of the beach. The culinary dish is called Sate To’ot.

The name comes from Madurese to’ot, meaning chicken knee. This satay is prepared from chicken knees which have a chewy texture.

Enjoying this satay will create a sensation of its own unique taste. Especially with the panoramic view of the North Java Sea. Thus, quoting from the Focus program, written on Sunday (22/9/2019).

The processing process for to’ot satay itself is not much different from ordinary chicken satay. One thing that is different is the process, because it takes a little longer to burn, because the to’ot consists of pieces of young bone.

After about 10 minutes of grilling over charcoal, the to’ot satay is ready to be eaten with a mixture of peanut sauce, soy sauce, chili sauce and lontong wrapped in banana leaves.

The texture of the chicken knee is tasty and chewy, creating a unique sensation of taste. So it’s not surprising that some buyers end up getting addicted, even though at first they were just curious to try it.

You only need to spend IDR 15,000 per portion to enjoy the satay. Traders can consume up to 500 skewers of to’ot per day.

For buyers, enjoying to’ot satay also feels even more perfect, with a beautiful panorama of the North Sea on the island of Java. Do you want to try it?

In the Pasir Putih Beach area, Situbondo, there are many special culinary delights called Sate To’ot which means chicken knee.
