This is How to Cook Sacrificial Meat So It’s Not Tough



NGAWI – On the Eid al-Adha holiday which will fall on July 20 2021, Muslims throughout the world celebrate by slaughtering sacrificial animals.

After the sacrificial animal is slaughtered, the meat of the sacrificial animal will be distributed to be cooked according to the recipe according to taste.

For those of you who already have plans to process sacrificial meat but are still confused about how to get rid of the greasy and tough smell from the meat, you can read this article to the end.

1. Avoid soaking meat

Avoid soaking sacrificial meat, because the meat will actually smell worse if soaked.

2. Use lime juice

Coat the sacrificial meat with lime until evenly coated, then let it sit for 15 to 20 minutes to soak.

3. Boil the meat twice.

If you want to process the meat into soup, you can boil the sacrificial meat twice so that the prengus smell in the meat disappears.

In the first boil, make sure the water has boiled first before adding the meat, also remove the foam that rises in the boiled sacrificial meat.

Once all the foam is gone, turn off the heat and drain the sacrificial meat.

Then in the second boil, make sure the meat has cooled slightly before you can boil it again.

For this second stew, you can immediately add the meat without waiting for the water to boil first.

4. Coat the meat with grated pineapple

This method is done so that the sacrificial meat is not tough, you can coat the sacrificial meat with grated pineapple for just 15 minutes, don’t leave it too long because it can cause the meat to fall apart.
