Fadli Zon: Rendang is Worth Promoting to All Corners of the World – Page all

TRIBUNNEWS.COM, JAKARTA – Member of the DPR RI, Fadli Zon, said that rendang food preparations need to be promoted internationally.

According to him, this West Sumatran culinary preparation can be a strong diplomatic tool through promotions carried out by the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia (KBRI) in various countries.

“So that Indonesian food, which is famous and has a strong spice taste, can be known internationally,” said Fadli in a virtual press conference, Sunday (9/8/2020).

Indonesian Embassies in various countries, continued Fadli, can become agents for promoting things that are unique in various countries.

“They can also become a trade agent for Indonesian products and make them known in other countries,” said Fadli.

Moreover, according to Fadli, currently processed rendang food has different variants and recipes in various regions.

“Like shredded rendang, which has a different texture and taste from rendang in general,” said Fadli.

To be introduced to the international world, said Fadli, more attractive packaging must be done so that it can become an attraction in itself.

“Apart from the taste, packaging must also be considered to attract other people’s curiosity to taste this typical Padang rendang dish,” said Fadli.
