1. Americano

Americano and other black coffees such as espresso and long black are considered the healthiest coffee menus. This is because this coffee menu does not use additional ingredients such as sweeteners, milk or flavored syrups.

Americano, long black and espresso are made only from water and coffee, which many say only has zero calories. This unflavored black coffee is also often a mainstay for people who follow a healthy diet or want to lose weight.

2. Macchiato

Macchiato is espresso served with a little milk foam on top. Danna Hunnes, a nutritionist at the Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center, said that the addition of milk foam makes a macchiato slightly less healthy than pure espresso.

“Because of the use of milk made into foam on top, it makes macchiatos a little less healthy than espresso. But this still depends on the type of milk used,” said Hunnes.

3. Cappuccino

There are three components needed to make a glass of cappuccino, namely espresso, milk and milk foam. Hunnes said that the fat in milk is always a consideration for whether a coffee menu is healthy or not.

Cappuccino uses the same amount of each component so that the health level is below the macchiato level. Hunnes suggests that if you want to enjoy a healthier cappuccino, you should replace the milk with soy milk.
