Jakarta – Coffee lovers to cafe business people join here. Together with experts, participants learn the trending coffee brewing technique, ‘manual brewing’.

Apart from knowing the types of coffee, roasting techniques and coffee blending, coffee lovers need to know about brewing techniques, one of which is ‘manual brewing’.

The term ‘manual brewing’ is used for brewing coffee without a machine but with various equipment that is operated by hand. Of course, the brewing results will be different from machine brewing.

Today detikFood together with the Indonesia Coffee Academy held a ‘Manual Brewing’ class. The great enthusiasm of coffee lovers has made this class into two sessions. Each session was attended by 20 participants.

This workshop was guided by Aris, one of the Q Graders and trainers at the Indonesian Coffee Academy. Participants will be invited to get to know various tools and methods for making coffee using the manual brewing method.

This method is currently trending. “Now coffee fans are not only old people but also young people. The method of making coffee has become wider and nowadays many people like the taste of coffee made using the manual brewing method. Each tool used in this technique produces a different taste of coffee,” said Aris Kadarsiman as Lecturer at the Indonesian Coffee Academy (24/3).

Participants will learn about types of coffee, manual brewing equipment and what things need to be considered in this method.
