Granola is often added as a topping for yogurt and smoothies. Meanwhile, oats are also often consumed as a breakfast menu accompanied by fruit toppings.
Even if you switch breakfast or dinner to these two types of food, you won’t necessarily lose weight.
Llana Muhistein revealed, “People think they are very healthy, but they are usually mixed with peanut butter, oil, maple syrup, honey, chocolate chunks and shredded coconut.”
According to this nutritionist, granola is also processed by baking, compressing it, and a cup of it can contain 600 calories. In fact, a little granola can contain up to 200 calories.
The high calorie content in this food makes it ineffective for losing weight.
Meanwhile, oats or other wheat-based foods are also not the best choice for those who want to lose weight.
If you still want to consume oats, this nutritionist recommends combining oats with yogurt or protein powder for optimal results.
2. Avocado
