Fruits such as oranges must also be served which are believed to bring good luck, wealth and happiness.

1. Oranges, kumquats and tangerines
In China, oranges, kumquats and tangerines are fruits that must be served during Chinese New Year.
Chinese people love the color gold, they believe the fruit will bring happiness, prosperity and good luck in making money.
The round shape of oranges is a symbol of good luck, togetherness and harmony. Some Chinese people will buy a potted kumquat tree and place it in the house with this luck will come around the house.
2. Grapefruit
Grapefruit is also a fruit that is mandatory for Chinese New Year, the harvest season is around the Mid-Autumn Festival in China, symbolized as family reunion.

3. Apple
The Chinese believe that one can live a peaceful and harmonious life by eating apples.

4. Grapes
Grapes that grow in clusters or bundles are used as a symbol of abundance and good harvest.
This means that luck will always accompany you, apart from that, the color doesn’t matter whether it’s purple or green.

5. Pineapple
Pineapples symbolize wealth and good luck, some Chinese people also use pineapples for cooking.
