Let’s try making this cake with a 500 gram recipe for satisfying and appetizing results, reported from the book “Simple & Moist Cake: Complete with Soft Cake, Bolu, Dry Cake, Pudding & Bread” (2017) by Tintin Rayner published by Kawan Pustaka.
Material:
- 200 grams of sago flour
- 70 grams of powdered sugar
- 75 grams of grated cheese
- 1 egg yolk
- 30 ml instant thick coconut milk
- 70 grams margarine
- 70 grams salted butter
How to make
- Roast the sago flour until it feels light, then cool. While waiting, preheat the oven to 150°C.
- Beat margarine, salted butter and powdered sugar using a mixer for 2 minutes until smooth. Add the egg yolks and thick coconut milk, then mix again until completely mixed.
- Add the grated cheese to the mixture, then add the sago flour little by little. Stir gently until the mixture is smooth using a spatula.
- Mold the dough according to your taste, place it on a baking sheet that has been lined with baking paper. Sprinkle grated cheese on top for topping.
- Bake the dough for 30 minutes until cooked. Wait for it to cool before storing it in a jar to keep it crunchy.
