Many people are sleepy after eating a big lunch. This certainly interferes with work performance because a person does not focus on all their tasks. This phenomenon, known as food coma, can also have bad consequences for your health.
As reported by Healthline, although research regarding the food coma phenomenon is still being developed, this condition can occur due to several things. The causes include hormones that trigger sleep, eating large portions, the body’s internal clock, and evolutionary adaptations.
