Here are 5 tips you can follow to start a diet in an easy but still healthy way:

1. Determine the diet goals you want to achieve

If you have a goal of losing weight, the first thing you must do according to Dr. Diana is determining the goals you want to achieve. Make sure these healthier lifestyle changes can be carried out in the long term.

“First, think about what your goal is. OK, for example, my goal is to be healthy, I want to change my lifestyle, make sure the lifestyle change can be done long term,” said Dr. Diana.

After knowing your goals, make sure to do a lot of research by reading, asking lots of questions, or consulting directly with experts.

The basic principles emphasized by Dr. Diana Suganda’s diet means sticking to lifestyle changes that can be done for life and are not torturous.

“Once you know the goal is to be healthy, okay, the first step you have to do is ask a lot of questions, read a lot or consult a nutritionist like me. The principle is to change your lifestyle, look for a way that can be done for the rest of your life. You have to be happy, you have to have fun, you also have to have a diet. it’s delicious and you can’t go hungry,” he said.

2. Make sure the food composition and portion sizes are appropriate

Many people who want to lose weight quickly end up doing a series diet extreme. But the diet method suggested by Dr. Diana Suganda actually has to continue referring to the principles of a balanced nutritional diet.

Balanced nutrition means that all food compositions must be complete, including macronutrient and micronutrient intake for consumption. Dr. Diana revealed, “Balanced nutrition means everything has to be complete. We have to get macronutrient intake. It has to include carbohydrates, protein, and also fat. Then you just have to choose and I teach you how to choose healthy fats, good protein, good carbohydrates .”

Don’t forget to consume micronutrients, namely nutrients needed by the body in small but important quantities. If you don’t get micronutrient intake, your body’s functions won’t be able to run better. Micronutrients usually take the form of vitamins and minerals which are found in many fruits, vegetables and nuts.

After determining the composition, you can mix the meal portions according to the guidelines from the Ministry of Health (Kemenkes). One plate can be filled one third with carbohydrates, side dishes, vegetables and fruit.

But Dr. Diana revealed that this portion can change according to a person’s goals and body condition. If you are obese, the guideline changes to a T plate where half the plate is filled with vegetables, while a quarter of the plate is carbohydrates and the other half is protein, which can be animal or vegetable.
