Carbohydrates are often underestimated. However, WHO has emphasized that carbohydrates are an important part of the diet, because they are the main source of energy.

WHO recommends that carbohydrates should make up at least 45% of total daily calories. And this is no more than 75% of daily calories. The source of carbohydrates is not only rice.

You can get it from grains, cassava, beans, sweet potatoes, and others. Adults need at least 130 grams of carbohydrates every day.

2. A type of fat that is good for nutrition

Fats have always gotten a slant in the diet. That may be true, but there are types of fat that the body actually needs. Usually referred to as good fats.

Good fats are important for the proper functioning of body cells, hormone production, and improving brain function. Some of these good fats are called linoleic acid, for example omega-6 fats.

This fat is contained in nuts such as walnuts, sunflower seeds and almonds. There is also alpha-linolenic acid, such as omega-3 fats contained in fatty fish, such as tuna and salmon.

WHO states that in adults 15-30% of daily calories should come from fat, especially unsaturated fatty acid fats, as mentioned above.
