4 Ways to Choose Sweet Bananas for Frying

Before making fried bananas, of course you have to choose sweet bananas as the main ingredient.

The way to do this is by looking at the color and aroma of the banana, make sure the banana is soft and ripe.

1. Pay attention to skin color

The first way to choose sweet bananas is to pay attention to the color of the skin. Banana peels can be a sign of ripeness.

Choose bananas with bright skin and no green color. If you find brown spots on the skin, it’s not a problem, because it’s a sign that the banana is ripe.

2. Touch and press the banana peel

Apart from looking at the color of the skin, you can choose a banana by feeling and pressing the banana skin.

Ripe bananas are generally soft when pressed, their skin also feels soft and smooth when touched.

On the other hand, bananas that are not fully ripe tend to be harder when pressed.

3. Avoid bruised bananas

Brown spots on bananas aren’t actually a problem, but check again if the spots are dark, dull, and bruised. Especially if the banana skin splits.

If these signs are found on a banana, it means the banana is almost rotten.

4. Smell the scent

Next, you can choose from the aroma of the banana. If the banana is ripe, it generally has a sharp and sweet aroma, whereas unripe bananas have a faint aroma.
