4 Delicious Satay Food Creations that will shake the family’s tongue

Satay has a distinctive taste with the main ingredients being various meats from beef, goat, chicken to rabbit. Originating from Java, Sate has spread throughout Indonesia so that every region in Indonesia has its own unique type of satay. It is even more proud because satay is included in the ranks of the most delicious foods in the world from the World’s 50 most delicious.

1. Tempeh Satay

This tempeh satay recipe is made for servings of 6 people. If the ingredients are ready, the time needed to make tempeh satay is only about 30 minutes.

Ingredients:

  • 2 tempeh boards
  • Skewer, soak in water
  • Fried onions for sprinkling
  • 2 tbsp fresh cooking oil
  • Marinade/soak:
  • 4 tbsp sweet soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp Maggi Magic Delicious Chicken Flavor
  • 1 tbsp water
  • ½ tsp cumin, coarsely grind
  • ½ tsp coriander, coarsely crushed
  • 2 cloves of garlic, fried and crushed

Sauce ingredients:

  • 5 tbsp sweet soy sauce
  • 3 red onions, thinly sliced
  • 3 cayenne peppers, thinly sliced
  • ½ tsp lime juice
  • 20 skewers
  • 2 tbsp fried onions

How to make:

  1. Cut the tempeh into squares.
  2. Mix sweet soy sauce, Maggi Magic Delicious Chicken Flavor, water, cumin, coriander and fried garlic. Stir well. Set aside
  3. Mix the marinade/soak ingredients into the tempeh pieces, stir well. Leave for 15-30 minutes in the refrigerator.
  4. For the dipping sauce, mix sweet soy sauce, shallots, cayenne pepper and lime juice.
  5. Heat a non-stick frying pan with a little cooking oil. Grill the tempeh satay until both sides are browned. Tempeh satay is ready to be served with dipping sauce.

Tip: So that leftover tempeh doesn’t go bad quickly, put it in an airtight plastic container, then store it in the refrigerator.
